(MEFC) was established in 1995, and very soon after it managed to obtain a leading position in manufacturing optical fiber cables within the Gulf and the MENA region, and to meet the market demand and the clients growing needs, (MEFC) enhanced its annual production capacity to reach 36,000 Kilometers. Hence, it become one of the largest manufacturers of fiber productions in the Middle east. Furthermore, In 2007, (MEFC) held a partnership agreement with the Japanese company (Fujicora), one of the oldest Japanese companies in this field of industry.

Over the past years, (MEFC) acquired deep experience and innovative technical know-how along through our implementation procedures for quality control in accordance with the standards of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). On the other hand, (MEFC) obtained number of Credentials from different organizations including Telecordia, BSI, EnterTek, In addition, MEFC has been an approved vendor of fiber cables for Saudi Aramco, SEC, Saudi National Water Company, all regional telecom operators (STC, Mobily, ITC and Bayanat), most of OSP/Integrators, Kuwait Petroleum Co., Zain of Kuwait, Qatar Oil & Gas Companies, Q-Tel of Qatar, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Algerian Telecom and many others.

With an estimated 40% of the Saudi local market and the GCC countries share, MEFC was successful to take a significant role as the supplier of choice for most of the local telecom and industrial projects. MEFC has also entered the FTTH market by providing microfibers, and pre-connected cables. Moreover, MEFC is now planning to boost exports to the GCC and Middle East countries.
